Around 15 miles. Some of Torfaen’s hidden gems and lesser visited locations. One Local Authority, two jobs - a canal and a local nature reserve, plus a golf course, over 200 years of industrial history, a waterfall and a Community woodland. Start 9:00am from Pontnewydd Park car park, Cwmbran.

Saturday 17 January 2009,   Bridgend to Llantwit Major.
16 mile linear walk along Afan Ogwr, across Newbridge Fields & over some of the best parts of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast (Ogmore, Southerndown, Dunraven Bay, Cwm Nash, Nash Point & St Donats), returning to Llantwit Major. Meet 9:00am at Llantwit Major Railway Station to catch the 9:20am train to Bridgend. (Phone walk leader beforehand to confirm if any amendment to train time).

15 to 25 miles depending on weather. Meet 8:30am at Bob`s house, 1 Orchard Terrace, Wernffrwd, Llanmorlais. Tea and cat food at Bob`s afterwards!
Directions to Bob`s house: Exit junction 47 on M4 & take second exit onto A483. At first roundabout turn right onto A484 & follow signs to Gowerton. In Gowerton, turn right onto B4295 (signed Llanrhidian) for 5.5 miles to cross roads (signed Wernffrwyd) & turn right to Orchard Terrace).
